Are you over 14 years of age, enrolled in high school or college, and enjoy making original artwork? If so, the Create-A-Greeting-Card Scholarship Contest may be the perfect opportunity for you! Each year, the contest awards $10,000 to the applicant who submits the best holiday, greeting, or all-around holiday card. While the top ten finalists will be decided by a public vote, the final winner will be decided by a panel of judges. The contest is offered by The Gallery Collection, the “leading business-to-business online and mail order publisher of premium quality personalized Christmas, Holiday, and Everyday greeting cards in the United States.”

Are you between the ages of 11 and 18 and passionate about protecting the ocean and/or the environment? Would you also like to use literature, painting, or even dancing to express your views on the effects of climate change? You should think about entering the Ocean Awareness Art Contest! The contest allows participants to make an artwork that depicts an aspect or impact of the current environmental problem and its influence on the ocean. The goal of the contest is to inspire the future generation to get active in environmentalism and ocean conservation. Every year there’s a different theme to concentrate on; this year it’s climate change. If you want to use art to express how climate change is affecting the ocean.

In order to be eligible for this scholarship you must be between the ages of 11 and 18 in addition to meeting the eligibility criteria below.

To apply for this contest, you must submit a piece of artwork that thoughtfully reflects an insight about or relates to the given year’s theme. Submissions may be: visual art, poetry & spoken word, creative writing, film, performing arts: music & dance, and/or interactive & multimedia. Jack Kent Cooke Young Artist Award

Are you an eight to eighteen-year-old musician? If yes, you might want to apply for the Young Artist Award from Jack Kent Cooke! Pre-collegiate music students who require financial assistance to defray the costs of studying classical music at a high level in the US are eligible for the scholarship. Candidates for the Learning and Media Lab Fellowship must be highly skilled musicians who are willing to take part in the program, such as composers, vocalists, or classical instrumentalists.
Every year, twenty fortunate students are selected to receive up to $10,000 to help with private lessons, college audition travel expenses, instrument purchases, summer camp tuition, and other music-related expenses.
